The KFC-XW1000F uses a rigid carbon-glass fiber honeycomb cone and a durable rubber surround on an aluminum die-cast basket. Kenwood pairs that cone with a stress-free spider, a large ferrite magnet and an optimized yoke so the motor can reproduce deep low frequencies in a short mounting depth of 3-3/8 inches (85 mm).
