The Kenwood KFC-1066S is a pair of 4-inch 2-way coaxial car speakers. Each speaker combines a polypropylene woofer cone with a cloth surround and a 1-inch balanced dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. They handle 21 watts RMS and 220 watts peak at 4 ohms, with 88 dB sensitivity and a 50 Hz to 22 kHz response. Mounting depth is only 1-11/16 inches, and grilles are included.

Sound Field Enhancer design
Kenwood builds the KFC-1066S with its Sound Field Enhancer to improve sound quality and an enlarged magnet circuit for clear sound. The 4-inch (100 mm) woofer uses a silver polypropylene cone with a cloth surround and a ferrite magnet, and a 1-inch (25 mm) silver balanced dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet handles the highs.
Power and response
Each speaker handles 21 watts RMS and 220 watts peak at 4 ohms. Sensitivity is 88 dB at 1 watt/1 meter, and frequency response runs from 50 Hz to 22 kHz.
Shallow fit
Kenwood lists only 5/16 inch (8 mm) of mounting height, measured as tweeter height, so the speakers fit a wider selection of cars. The cutout diameter is 3-5/8 inches (92.6 mm) and the mounting depth is 1-11/16 inches (43 mm). Each speaker measures 5-1/4 inches (134 mm) across with the grille and 4-1/8 inches (104 mm) without it, and weighs about 1.0 lb with the grille.
Included hardware
Kenwood includes two grilles, eight 4 x 25 mm tapping screws, eight speed nuts and two 0.3 m speaker cords. Before you install, check the mounting depth and the cutout size against the speaker location in your vehicle.
