An active SmartStart Pro service plan is required. Professional installation is required.

With a compatible installed Viper remote-start or security system, SmartStart Pro lets you start, lock, unlock, and check status from the app with 2-way confirmation over cellular—not limited to RF remote range.
GPS location and alerts
Locate the vehicle on demand, get directions, share location, and receive supported alerts such as security, lockdown/tow, speed, and SmartFence events depending on the selected service plan.
Service plan and install
Connected features require an active VIPER SMARTSTART PRO service plan. Viper states professional hardware installation is required. The module can provide GPS features even when not tied to full vehicle control, but full control needs a compatible system.
