Overview
The Rockford Fosgate P3D2-15 is a Punch P3 15-inch subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils and 600 watts RMS power handling (1200 watts max). An anodized aluminum cone and dustcap, VAST surround, and StampCast FlexFit basket are built for hard use. A diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring is included for an optional grille insert. Sold as a single woofer; an enclosure and grille are not included.

Punch P3 output
Rockford Fosgate rates the P3D2-15 at 600 watts RMS and 1200 watts max, with dual 2-ohm voice coils so you can wire for 1-ohm or 4-ohm loads at the amp. The anodized aluminum cone and dustcap stay rigid at high excursion, while a high-temp voice coil with spun-laced Nomex reinforcement and a dual linear spider with embedded 16 AWG tinsel leads are meant for sustained Punch-level bass. VAST (Vertical Attach Surround Technique) is designed to increase effective cone area versus a conventional surround attachment.
Motor and basket
A StampCast basket with integrated spider venting, an extended pole piece, and a bumped vented backplate help manage heat and excursion under hard use. Custom 10-AWG nickel-plated push terminals accept large speaker wire cleanly. A protective PVC textured magnet cover is included. The diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring ships with the woofer and accepts an optional stamped mesh grille insert sold separately.
Fit and enclosure
Mounting depth is 7.58 inches (192.5 mm) with a 13.94-inch (353 mm) cutout. Rockford Fosgate lists a recommended sealed volume of 1.58 cu. ft. (44.7 L) and a vented volume of 2.66 cu. ft. (75.3 L). FlexFit slotted mounting holes help fine-tune the woofer position in tight installs. Sensitivity is 86 dB (1 W/1 m), and shipping weight is about 23.3 lb (10.56 kg).
