Drop-in lids that can take weather
Stock Harley lid speakers were never meant for aftermarket power. The TMS57 swaps in a matched pair of Element Ready 5×7 2-way drivers rated at 100 watts RMS into 4 ohms. Sensitivity is 89 dB (1 W/1 m) or 92 dB at 2.8 V, with frequency response from 61 Hz to 20 kHz. Mounting depth is 2.2 inches (55 mm).
Materials and plug-and-play connector
A carbon-fiber-reinforced polypropylene cone is co-molded with the surround, backed by a Santoprene front isolation spider and a high-power 35 mm voice coil. An ultra-high-temperature glass-reinforced polymer frame and integrated 6 dB crossover with a high-power polyester capacitor keep the network sealed inside the speaker. A factory Harley-Davidson connector makes the swap plug-and-play on compatible lids.
What to plan for
Grilles are not included—reuse your lid grilles or order matching trim separately. Confirm your lids accept a 5×7 driver and that your amplifier can supply clean power near 100 watts RMS. Element Ready construction is weather and water resistant, but sealed lid hardware still matters for long-term reliability. Mounting depth is 2.2 inches, so most compatible lids have enough rear clearance for the motor. Keep the factory radio flash and lid wiring in mind before you start the swap.
