Overview
The Kenwood DMX4707S is a double-DIN digital multimedia receiver with a 6.8-inch capacitive touchscreen and a short 2-15/16-inch chassis. It runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto over USB and can mirror select Android phones with the Mirroring OA for KENWOOD app. Built-in Bluetooth, a 13-band EQ with time alignment, a rear camera input and two preouts plus a subwoofer output complete the package. It is a mechless unit with no disc drive.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto over USB
Connect your iPhone or Android phone with a USB cable to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on the 6.8-inch screen for maps, calls, messages and music. These connections are wired only. With the Mirroring OA for KENWOOD app, select Android phones can also mirror their screen over USB. Built-in Bluetooth 4.1 handles hands-free calls and audio streaming with SBC and AAC, and a microphone comes in the box.
Screen, media and sound
The WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive touch panel measures 6.75 inches diagonally. The rear USB cable charges at up to 1.5 amps and plays FLAC and WAV files up to 96 kHz/24-bit, plus MP3, WMA and AAC. It also plays MPEG4, H.264 and MKV video up to 1080p, and a video output can send USB sources to a rear monitor. A 13-band EQ, digital time alignment and a 2-way crossover tune the sound.
Camera, outputs and installation
The rear camera input supports a backup camera with parking guidelines. Two 2-volt preouts plus a subwoofer output connect amplifiers, and an AV input takes another source. The receiver is SiriusXM Ready for a tuner sold separately, works with the optional KNA-RCDV331 remote, and has a steering remote wire for an adapter, sold separately. The short chassis is only 2-15/16 inches (75 mm) deep, which helps in tight dashboards.
