Diamond Array Pattern woofers
Kenwood lists the KFC-XP184C woofer as an oversized 160 mm (6-1/2-inch) injection-molded polypropylene cone with its Diamond Array Pattern diaphragm. Each woofer has a rubber surround, a black steel basket and a ferrite magnet, and Kenwood names the system a 7-inch oversized custom fit component set. The Diamond Array Pattern is Kenwood’s way of stiffening the cone for clearer midbass and midrange.
Separate soft dome tweeters
As a component system, the tweeters are separate from the woofers. Each 1-inch (25 mm) soft dome tweeter can be mounted apart from its woofer, so you can aim the highs toward the listening position instead of leaving them in the door panel.
