Punch P3 performance
Rockford Fosgate rates the P3D4-12 at 600 watts RMS and 1200 watts max, with dual 4-ohm voice coils so you can wire for 2-ohm or 8-ohm loads at the amp. The anodized aluminum cone and dustcap, high-temp voice coil with Nomex reinforcement, and dual linear spider with embedded tinsel leads are built for hard use. VAST (Vertical Attach Surround Technique) is designed to increase effective cone area up to 25% versus a conventional surround.
Motor and basket
A StampCast basket with integrated spider venting, an extended pole piece, and a bumped vented backplate help manage heat and excursion. Custom 10-AWG nickel-plated push terminals accept large wire. The diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring is included and accepts an optional stamped mesh grille insert (sold separately).
Fit and enclosure
Mounting depth is 6.66 inches (169.3 mm) with an 11.25-inch (285 mm) cutout. Rockford Fosgate lists a recommended sealed enclosure volume of 1.02 cu. ft. (28.8 L) and a vented volume of 1.79 cu. ft. (50.6 L). FlexFit slotted mounting holes help fine-tune the woofer position in tight installs. Sensitivity is 85 dB (1 W/1 m).
