Punch Pro midrange for loud systems
Competition and high-output door builds need midrange drivers that stay clean when the volume climbs. The PPS4-8 is Rockford Fosgate’s Punch Pro 8-inch 4-ohm midrange/midbass, sold one at a time so you can match channel counts. Continuous power is 125 watts RMS with a 250-watt peak rating. Sensitivity of 94.5 dB at 1 W/1 m helps efficiency-focused systems.
Cone, plug, and frame
A fiber-reinforced high-strength paper cone uses a treated “W” style surround with a corrugated treated-cloth edge. A billet-stock machined aluminum phase plug sits in the center. The stamp-cast aluminum frame, fatigue-resistant poly-cotton spider, periodic-stitched lead wire, and high-temp aluminum voice coil round out the motor stack. All-metal spring input terminals take secure terminations.
Fitment and upgrades
Frequency response is 80 Hz–5 kHz. Mounting depth is 2.91 inches (74 mm). A grille and mounting hardware ship with each driver. Shipping weight is about 7.75 pounds. The design supports an upgrade path to Punch Pro V2 without replacing the grille. Use an appropriate high-pass filter; a dedicated crossover is sold separately when your system needs one.
