Overview
Start a focused subwoofer install with the Rockford Fosgate R2-250X1 Prime Series Class-D mono amplifier. It is rated 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 250 watts RMS at 2 ohms. On-board Punch EQ, a variable infrasonic filter, C.L.E.A.N. setup LEDs, high-level inputs, and an included RLC remote level control cover the basics of a clean bass system. A 50 Amp fuse is required and sold separately.

Entry Prime mono power
R2-250X1 is the compact mono in the Prime R2 family for a single subwoofer or dual-coil load that does not need the higher-output R2 monos. Continuous ratings are 150 W x 1 at 4 ohms and 250 W x 1 at 2 ohms under CEA-2006 rules. Class-D efficiency and a cast aluminum heat sink keep demand on the charging system reasonable in a chassis suited to many trunk and under-seat layouts.
C.L.E.A.N. setup and filters
C.L.E.A.N. input and output LEDs help set gain without heavy clipping. Punch EQ adds 0 to +18 dB at 45 Hz. The low-pass crossover sweeps 50–250 Hz and the infrasonic filter sweeps 15–40 Hz at 12 dB/octave so you can keep the woofer in its useful range. An included RLC remote puts bass level within reach while you drive.
Inputs and wiring
Balanced differential RCA inputs, high-level Molex inputs, and an RCA pass-thru support factory or aftermarket sources and daisy-chaining another amp. Plan on 4 AWG power wire, 8 AWG speaker wire, and a 50 Amp fuse (not included). Top-mounted controls sit under the cover once the amp is mounted.
