Rockford Fosgate rates the R2SD2-12 at 250 watts RMS and 500 watts max with dual 2-ohm voice coils. Sensitivity is 85 dB (1 W/1 m) with Xmax of 10 mm and a 2-inch (50 mm) voice coil. The shallow motor keeps mounting depth to 3.602 inches (91 mm) with an 11.25-inch (285 mm) cutout, so tight under-seat boxes and spare-tire wells stay usable without raising the floor.
Enclosure targets
Recommended sealed enclosure volume is 0.9 cubic feet (25.4 L) for compact installs. Vented volume is 1.79 cubic feet (50.6 L) when you have more trunk space and want louder output. Dual 12 AWG compression terminals accept solid wire connections. Magnet weight is about 51 ounces, and woofer displacement is 0.039 cubic feet for box net-volume math.
Wiring and amplifier notes
Dual 2-ohm coils can be wired to a 1-ohm or 4-ohm final load depending on series or parallel configuration. An amplifier and enclosure are sold separately. Confirm final impedance against your amp’s stable rating before connecting, and leave clearance for the shallow basket under seat tracks and floor braces. A matching grille is sold separately for visible under-seat installs. Check seat-track clearance before final mounting of the enclosure.
