Overview
The AudioControl EPIC1500 is a compact Class D monoblock subwoofer amplifier rated for 1500 watts RMS at 1 ohm, 1000 watts at 2 ohms, and 600 watts at 4 ohms (14.4 V). It includes the ACR-E remote level control, an Epicenter Link harness, variable low-pass and subsonic filters, and EPICBoost bass EQ. Pair it with a separately sold Epicenter processor when you want bass restoration in the same system.

Compact Class D power for subwoofers
EPIC1500 is built as a high-current Class D monoblock that stays stable down to a 1 ohm load. At 14.4 volts AudioControl rates continuous output at 600 watts into 4 ohms, 1000 watts into 2 ohms, and 1500 watts into 1 ohm, with a strapped rating of 3000 watts into 2 ohms when two amps are linked. Frequency response is 10 Hz to 190 Hz, and the signal-to-noise ratio is 92.8 dBa referenced to 600 watts at 4 ohms.
Filters, EPICBoost, and remote level
A 12 dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley low-pass filter sweeps from 40 Hz to 180 Hz, and a matching subsonic filter runs from Off to 50 Hz. EPICBoost lets you set a bass center between 30 Hz and 80 Hz with up to 12 dB of gain. Line-level inputs accept 500 mV to 12 V RMS, and the included ACR-E dash remote adjusts level from the driver’s seat.
Install details that matter
Power and ground need 4 AWG wire with a 150 amp fuse. Speaker terminals take up to 8 AWG. The chassis measures 10.59 inches long by 6.1 inches wide by 2.01 inches high without connectors. An Epicenter Link harness in the box ties the amp’s power and remote to a separately sold Epicenter bass restoration processor. Hex-screw terminals and a smart auto-reset protection suite cover over-current, over/under voltage, DC offset, and over-temperature faults.
