Preloaded 10-inch sealed box
The P-XW1002B ships with one KFC-XW1000F 10-inch shallow-mount subwoofer already mounted. The driver uses a carbon-glass-fiber honeycomb cone with a rubber surround in an aluminum die-cast basket. A heat-transfer motor structure and smooth linear spider support the moving assembly under sealed-box loads, so the shallow driver can still deliver controlled bass in a compact sealed chamber.
Down-firing enclosure
Kenwood builds a low-profile sealed enclosure that fires downward, finished in black carpeted MDF with acoustic damping material inside. Outside dimensions are 19-5/8 inches wide by 12-1/4 inches deep by 6 inches high, which helps the box slide under a seat or into a short cargo well. An 8 AWG-capable push terminal simplifies the amp connection for under-seat and compact cargo installs.
