Super bullet design
The PRO-TWX1/BK uses an aluminum body with an aluminum bullet in front of the diaphragm. DS18 lists a 3.5 kHz to 20 kHz frequency response and 103 dB sensitivity (1 W/1 m), which makes the pair a match for high-output midrange speakers in pro-audio builds. This listing is the black finish.
Power handling
Each 4-ohm tweeter is rated at 60 watts AES, 120 watts program, and 240 watts peak. A 1-inch voice coil on a Kapton former with CCAW winding drives the aluminum diaphragm, backed by an 8 oz ferrite magnet.
Installation
The tweeters need a 2.76-inch front-mount cutout and 1.57 inches of mounting depth, with a 3.78-inch overall diameter and 1.78-inch overall depth. DS18 recommends a high-pass crossover at 2 kHz. If the diaphragm ever needs service, DS18 lists the PRO-TW1VC as the 4-ohm replacement diaphragm, sold separately.
