8-inch HD Direct Replacement

The DAX8000S puts an 8-inch 1280 x 720 capacitive touchscreen on a floating monitor with a separate chassis, so you can place the display where it fits and mount the chassis elsewhere in the dash. Kenwood positions it as a Direct Replacement receiver for compatible vehicles (vehicle-specific harness sold separately).

Wireless phone integration

Use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly or by USB. Built-in Bluetooth handles calls and audio streaming, and Wi-Fi supports the wireless phone features Kenwood lists for this model. High-Resolution Audio playback and wireless smartphone mirroring are also part of the feature set Kenwood publishes for the DAX8000S.

Cameras and system outputs

Four camera inputs support HD front and rear cameras on compatible Kenwood cameras. Three 4-volt preamp outputs give you room to add amplifiers. HD Radio is built in; SiriusXM readiness depends on an optional tuner sold separately.
