Wireless smartphone connection

The DMX908S connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly over dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, or by USB when you also want to charge. Select Android phones can mirror their screen to the 6.95-inch display wirelessly. Bluetooth 5.0 handles calls and audio streaming, with dual phone connection and Music Mix for up to five devices. The home screen can be customized with four widgets, and an HDMI Type-D input accepts a compatible source with the KCA-HD200 cable, sold separately.

High-Resolution Audio and USB-C

The USB Type-C port charges at up to 3.0 amps, and Kenwood includes a USB-C cable and a USB Type-A adapter in the box. It plays FLAC and WAV files up to 192 kHz/24-bit as High-Resolution Audio, along with MP3, WMA, AAC and Vorbis audio and MPEG, H.264, WMV and MKV video. High-quality audio parts, a 13-band EQ, digital time alignment and 2-way or 3-way crossover settings let you tune the sound. Built-in HD Radio adds digital FM and AM, and the unit is SiriusXM Ready for a tuner sold separately.

Cameras, dash cam and system building

Four camera inputs cover a backup camera and additional front or side cameras, and Dash Cam Link works with the Kenwood DRV-N520 dash cam, sold separately. Three 5-volt preouts feed front, rear and subwoofer amplifiers, and the built-in amplifier is rated at 50 watts x 4 maximum and 22 watts x 4 full bandwidth. With an iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 module, sold separately, it can keep steering wheel controls and factory features. The short chassis is 3-3/8 inches (85 mm) deep.

• A vehicle-specific dash kit, wiring harness adapter and antenna adapter may be needed for your vehicle and are not included.
• Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto need a compatible phone. Wireless mirroring works only with select Android phones.
• The iDatalink Maestro module, SiriusXM tuner and subscription, cameras, DRV-N520 dash cam, KCA-HD200 cable and KCA-RCDV340 remote are sold separately.
• This is a mechless digital multimedia receiver. It does not play CDs or DVDs.
