Add quick bass to a truck or small car with the Rockford Fosgate P300-8P Punch powered enclosure. An 8-inch woofer and a 300-watt RMS Class-D amp sit in a slim vented 5/8-inch MDF box rated from 30 Hz to 200 Hz. Variable low-pass, bass boost, phase control, auto turn-on, and a Punch Level Control remote are built in. P300-8P pairs a proprietary 8-inch woofer with an integrated 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier in a vented enclosure built from 5/8-inch MDF. Frequency response is 30 Hz–200 Hz. The slim 11.4 x 17.6 x 5.6-inch footprint is aimed at behind-seat truck and small-car installs where a full-size enclosure will not fit. Shipping weight is 19 lb, so one person can move it into place without a helper.
Tuning and turn-on options
A variable low-pass sweeps 50–200 Hz at 12 dB/octave. Bass boost runs 0 to +12 dB, and phase adjusts 0° to 180°. Auto turn-on can use a remote trigger, DC offset sense, or audio sense. High-level and low-level inputs (RCA pair, L/R summed) cover factory radios and aftermarket decks. A Punch Level Control remote is included so you can set bass level from the dash without digging into the cargo area.
Install details
Power uses an 8 AWG B+/GND quick-disconnect (REM 18 AWG). Rockford fuses the amp with 2 x 10 Amp ATO (20 Amp total). Keep clearance for the vented cabinet and plan a solid mounting surface behind a seat or in a cargo corner. When you need the space back, the quick-disconnect plugs let you unplug power and signal without cutting wires.
