Shallow Punch P3 for tight installs
P3SD4-12 (SKU P3SD412) is Rockford’s shallow Punch P3 12-inch dual 4-ohm woofer when a standard P3 will not fit. Continuous power handling is 400 W RMS / 800 W max (CEA-2031). Dual 4-ohm voice coils wire for 2-ohm or 8-ohm at the amp. Sensitivity is 86 dB (1 W/1 m). Fs is 45 Hz with 10.8 mm Xmax. Mounting depth is 3.625 inches (9.21 cm), which opens under-seat, spare-tire, and shallow-box installs that a conventional Punch P3 cannot clear.
Cone and motor
A Kevlar-fiber-reinforced semi-pressed paper cone with an ABS/Acrylic dustcap handles continuous bass duty. The high-temp 2.5-inch 4-layer voice coil sits in a spherically vented motor with a vented spider cavity for cooling under high excursion. Dual 10-AWG compression terminals accept large wire. Magnet weight is 52 ounces.
Fit notes
Cutout diameter is 11.125 inches (28.26 cm). The reversible diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring is included so you can finish the install with either face out. Confirm enclosure volume against Rockford’s shallow-mount recommendations for your vehicle before cutting. An optional grille insert may be available separately. Woofer displacement is 0.071 cu. ft. (2.01 L).
