The Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X134 is a pair of 5-1/4-inch 2-way car speakers. Each speaker pairs an oversized 130 mm polypropylene woofer cone with a rubber surround and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. They handle 40 watts RMS (CTA-2031) and 160 watts peak at 4 ohms, with 87 dB sensitivity and a 76 Hz to 21 kHz response. Grilles and mounting hardware are included.

Two-way speaker design
The KFC-X134 uses an oversized 130 mm (5-1/4-inch) injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone in gray, with a rubber surround, a steel basket and a ferrite magnet. A 1-inch (25 mm) soft dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet is mounted on the woofer frame, with a -6 dB per octave network for the tweeter.
Power and response
Each speaker handles 40 watts RMS under the CTA-2031 standard and 160 watts peak. Impedance is 4 ohms, sensitivity is 87 dB at 1 watt/1 meter, and frequency response runs from 76 Hz to 21 kHz.
Fit and dimensions
The cutout diameter is 4-3/4 inches (120 mm) and the mounting depth is 2-3/8 inches (60 mm). The tweeter rises 9/16 inch (14 mm). With the grille fitted, each speaker measures 6-5/16 x 6-5/16 x 3-3/16 inches (160 x 160 x 81.5 mm); without it, 5-3/16 x 5-3/16 x 2-15/16 inches (132 x 132 x 74 mm).
Included hardware
Kenwood includes two grilles, eight 4 x 25 mm binding head tapping screws, eight speed nuts, a 0.3 m speaker cord set and adhesive tape. Before you install, check the 2-3/8-inch mounting depth and the 4-3/4-inch cutout against the speaker location in your vehicle, and allow for the tweeter height behind the grille.
