The DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK packages two PRO-X6.4BM 6.5-inch midrange loudspeakers with two PRO-TWX1/BK 3.8-inch super bullet tweeters for a matched pro-audio front stage. Each midrange is rated 250 watts RMS at 4 ohms, and each tweeter handles 60 watts AES with 103 dB sensitivity. The tweeters include 3.3 µF capacitor filters. What the package includes
This package combines a pair of PRO-X6.4BM midranges and a pair of PRO-TWX1/BK black super bullet tweeters. Buying them together gives you a left and right set of mids and highs from the same DS18 pro-audio line, voiced to work together.
PRO-X6.4BM midranges
The package manual lists each midrange at 250 watts RMS and 500 watts max into 4 ohms, with 96 dB sensitivity and a 100 Hz to 12 kHz response. DS18 recommends a 160 Hz high-pass crossover for the mids in this package. Each has a non-pressed paper cone, 1.5-inch Kapton-former voice coil, red steel basket, red aluminum bullet, and 30 oz ferrite magnet. Mounting depth is 2.58 inches with a 5.7-inch cutout.
PRO-TWX1/BK tweeters
Each 4-ohm tweeter uses a 1-inch voice coil and aluminum diaphragm, rated 60 watts AES, 120 watts program, and 240 watts peak, with 103 dB sensitivity and 3.5 kHz to 20 kHz response. A 3.3 µF filter is included, and DS18 recommends a 2 kHz high-pass point. Mounting depth is 1.57 inches with a 2.76-inch cutout.
Before you order
Plan an amplifier with enough power for two 4-ohm midranges, and set a high-pass filter near the 160 Hz point DS18 recommends for this package. Choose a tweeter location with room for the 2.76-inch cutout and 1.57-inch depth, and check that the midranges clear the window track at 2.58 inches deep. Adapters and wiring are not included.
