The Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X175 is a pair of 6-1/2-inch 2-way coaxial car speakers. An oversized 165 mm injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone with a rubber surround works with a 1-inch soft dome tweeter that uses a neodymium magnet. The speakers handle 80 watts RMS and 240 watts peak at 4 ohms, with 87 dB sensitivity and a 67 Hz to 21 kHz response. Grilles and multi-brackets for a variety of vehicles are included.

Stiffer woofer cone
Kenwood adjusted the material composition of the KFC-X175 woofer cone to increase diaphragm rigidity. The oversized 165 mm (6-1/2-inch) woofer uses an injection-molded polypropylene cone with a rubber surround, a steel basket and a ferrite magnet, and it handles the bass and midrange in this 2-way design.
Wide sound field tweeter
A 1-inch (25 mm) soft dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet is mounted at the center of each woofer. Kenwood says this tweeter widens the sound field and controls interference. Tweeter height is 3/4 inch (19 mm).
Power and fit
Each speaker handles 80 watts RMS and 240 watts peak at 4 ohms. Sensitivity is 87 dB, and frequency response runs from 67 Hz to 21 kHz. The cutout diameter is 5 inches (127.5 mm) and the mounting depth is 2-3/16 inches (56 mm). With the grille fitted, each speaker measures 7-1/16 x 7-1/16 x 3-5/16 inches; without it, 6-1/4 x 6-1/4 x 2-15/16 inches.
Multi-bracket included
Kenwood includes multi-brackets for a variety of vehicle types, plus two grilles, tapping screws in 4 x 25 mm and 4 x 12 mm sizes (eight of each), eight speed nuts, a 0.3 m speaker cord set, adhesive tape and an instruction manual with a mounting template.
