Product details
DVD receiver with a bright 6.8-inch screen
AVH-2550NEX is a double-DIN multimedia receiver with a 6.8-inch WXGA capacitive display and an in-dash disc mechanism. Wired Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto put phone maps, calls, and music on the dash over USB. WebLink and Amazon Alexa through Pioneer Vozsis expand the phone-app options when you want them.
Radio, preouts, and OEM integration
Built-in HD Radio and SiriusXM-Ready (tuner sold separately) cover terrestrial and satellite sources. Six-channel RCA preouts run at 4 volts for a cleaner amp signal, and the MOSFET section is rated 14 W RMS x 4 (CTA-2006) with 50 W x 4 max into 4 ohms. iDatalink Maestro RR / RR2 compatibility helps keep factory steering-wheel controls, climate displays, and camera feeds where the module supports them.
Install notes
Plan for a double-DIN opening and full chassis depth because of the disc drive. A vehicle-specific dash kit, harness, and steering-wheel interface are usually required; Maestro modules and a SiriusXM tuner are sold separately. Pioneer includes the remote, microphone, and mounting hardware with the receiver.
