Punch P2 8-inch performance
P2D4-8 is Rockford’s Punch P2 8-inch dual 4-ohm woofer for compact sealed or vented systems. Continuous power handling is 250 W RMS / 500 W max. Dual 4-ohm voice coils wire for 2-ohm or 8-ohm at the amp. Sensitivity is 83 dB (1 W/1 m). Fs is 43 Hz with 7.7 mm Xmax. Magnet weight is 49 oz (1.38 kg). Shipping weight is 10.76 lb (4.88 kg).
Cone, motor, and basket
A Kevlar-fiber-reinforced paper cone pairs with a high-temp voice coil and spun-laced Nomex reinforcement collar. Dual linear spiders with embedded 16-AWG tinsel leads manage excursion. A StampCast basket with integrated spider venting, extended pole piece, bumped vented backplate, and protective PVC textured magnet cover round out the motor. Custom 10-AWG nickel-plated push terminals accept large speaker wire. A diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring ships in the box; the optional grille is sold separately.

Mounting depth is 4.76 inches (120.8 mm) with a 7.13-inch (181 mm) cutout. Rockford Fosgate recommends a sealed volume of 0.23 cu. ft. (6.5 L) and a vented volume of 0.65 cu. ft. (18.4 L). Woofer displacement is 0.042 cu. ft. (1.2 L). Confirm amplifier load and enclosure volume before cutting the vehicle.
