Punch Pro mid for loud systems
When mids have to keep up with big amplifiers, paper-cone factory drivers run out of steam. The PPS4-6 is Rockford Fosgate’s Punch Pro 6.5-inch midrange, rated at 100 watts RMS and 200 watts max into 4 ohms. Sensitivity is 92.5 dB (1 W/1 m), and frequency response spans 85 Hz to 5 kHz—right where vocal and instrument energy lives in an SPL layout.
Cast frame and treated cone
A stamp-cast aluminum frame and billet-machined aluminum phase plug give the driver a rigid platform. The cone is fiber-reinforced high-strength paper with a treated corrugated cloth surround, backed by a fatigue-resistant poly-cotton spider and high-temp aluminum voice coil. All-metal spring terminals accept heavy wire without fuss, and mounting depth is 2.24 inches (56.8 mm).
Sold each, grille included
The PPS4-6 ships as a single midrange with grille and mounting hardware. It is not a full-range coax—pair it with a suitable tweeter and crossover for a complete front stage. Rockford notes the grille can stay in place if you later move up to a Punch Pro V2 mid. Confirm your amplifier can supply clean power near the 100-watt RMS rating and use a suitable high-pass filter.
