Step into Punch P2 bass with the Rockford Fosgate P2D4-12, a 12-inch dual 4-ohm subwoofer rated 400 watts RMS and 800 watts max. A Kevlar-fiber-reinforced paper cone, VAST surround, StampCast basket, and dual linear spider support sealed or vented installs. Dual 4-ohm voice coils wire to 2-ohm or 8-ohm loads. A diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring is included; the optional grille insert is sold separately.

Punch P2 12-inch foundation
P2D4-12 is Rockford’s Punch P2 12-inch dual 4-ohm woofer for systems that need more output than Punch P1 without stepping up to P3. Continuous power handling is 400 W RMS / 800 W max (CEA-2031). Dual 4-ohm voice coils let you wire for 2-ohm or 8-ohm at the amp. Sensitivity is 86 dB (1 W/1 m).
Cone, motor, and basket
A Kevlar-fiber-reinforced paper cone pairs with VAST (Vertical Attach Surround Technique) for more radiating area than a conventional surround. The high-temp voice coil uses a spun-laced Nomex reinforcement collar. Dual linear spiders with embedded 16 AWG tinsel leads, an extended pole piece, and a bumped vented backplate manage heat and excursion. StampCast basket construction includes integrated spider venting and FlexFit mounting slots.
Fit and enclosure
Mounting depth is 6.40 inches (162 mm) with an 11.22-inch (285 mm) cutout. Suggested sealed volume is 1.02 cu. ft. (28.8 L) and vented at 1.79 cu. ft. (50.6 L). Custom 10-AWG nickel-plated push terminals accept large wire. The diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring is included and accepts the optional P2P3G-12 grille insert (sold separately).
