The Kenwood eXcelon P-XW1221DHP is a ported preloaded enclosure with two 12-inch KFC-XW1241HP subwoofers wired to a final 2-ohm load. Dual 12-inch high-power enclosure
The P-XW1221DHP loads two KFC-XW1241HP 12-inch subwoofers into one ported box. Each driver uses an injection-polypropylene dual-area cone with a rubber surround in a steel basket. A closed yoke with advanced airflow control and an aluminum bobbin support the higher power rating, and stress-controlled spiders keep the moving assemblies in check.
Enclosure and wiring
Kenwood builds the box from 5/8-inch MDF with a 3/4-inch baffle, a slant-back shape and a flared port. Nickel-plated spring posts accept up to 8 AWG wire, and steel mesh grilles are attached. The enclosure can fire forward, rearward or downward. Outside dimensions are 35-3/4 inches wide by 15-13/16 inches high by 15-13/16 inches deep, and gross weight is 73.2 pounds.
